Eight candle cups aligned on a flat, horizontal bar, set between a ring and a slightly higher candle cup (the Shamus), from which three round tubes fan and arc, stretching back and up to the ring, all set upon a round, stepped, graduating pedestal, make up this modern interpretation of the Chanukah lamp — designed to suggest the silhouette of a Mid-Eastern oil lamp
