Sterling Grape Stand
Redlich & Company
New York, New York
Circa1895
The largest of the sizes that Redlich& Company produced of this item, the grape stand is designed to look like a huge, naturalistic, grape leaf plate, from which rises, in a C curve, a grapevine handle applied with smaller grape leaves; the grapevine handle has two tendrils that scroll around and form hooks from which grape shears are intended to hang; the basket sits on two ball feet and a vine foot, which is the cleverly formed end of the grape stand handle
